What to do on those rainy days. That is the question for all of us fortunate enough to live in the Northwest. Here are some ideas.
- Play with blocks
- Bake some cookies
- Play a game
- Watch their favorite movie
- Explore a discovery box
- Read books
- Sing songs
- Have fun with finger plays
- Create some funky art to display on your fridge
- Play with playdoh
- Have a play date with your friends
- Take them on a trip to the Children's Museum, a play or library story time.
- Make a card for Dad when he gets home
..an the list goes on. Our favorite idea, for those rainy spring weekends: don the rain gear and go hiking. But a word of caution: side effects of hiking in the rain include a runny nose, soggy socks and a day's worth of laundry when you get home. Benefits on the other hand--lots of nice, unforgettable memories to fill up their childhood.
